Cheddar Straws


Ingredients:

10 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Preparation:
In a food processor, blend cheddar and butter until smooth. Add flour, salt and cayenne pepper. Blend well. Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with 1/4” fluted tip. Pipe 1 1/2” lengths onto ungreased cookie sheets spacing straws 1” apart.

Bake at 375° until golden and edges begin to brown (approximately 5 minutes). Transfer to plate to cool and sprinkle with sea salt.

Cheddar Straws will keep up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
