I caught my first tuna during a feeding frenzy on 9-14-93.
I climbed
on the boat not knowing a soul nor how to fish for tuna
and caught 19 yellowfin tuna out of the total catch

of  512 for 22 anglers. 

 

I began fishing in 1993. I met Kenji Yamamoto on a fishing boat and he spent hours
teaching me how to fish. Kenji made all my fishing rods until I learned how
to make them myself. Kenji is one of the best fishermen I know and he’s a good friend.
