Jan’s Chocolate Chip – Pecan Cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup Crisco shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. water
4 eggs
5 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
12 oz. miniature, semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans

Preparation:
Cream sugars with butter and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla, and water. Mix well. Add flour, soda and salt. Blend well then stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
