Fettuccini Alfredo

Ingredients:
2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter, melted
2 cups heavy cream
8 oz. grated parmesan cheese
8 oz. soft cream cheese
1 tsp. white pepper
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. fettuccini

Preparation:
Combine butter, cream, cheeses, pepper, nutmeg and salt in a small saucepan. Heat slowly until cheeses melt and sauce is hot.

Cook fettuccini in salted, boiling water until cooked al dente. Drain fettuccini and place in a pasta bowl. Pour sauce over cooked pasta and toss. Serve immediately.

History:
