Cooked corned beef, sliced thin
Sliced Swiss cheese
Saurkraut, rinsed and drained
Rye bread
Butter
Preparation:
Place butter in bowl and melt. Place corned beef on slice of rye bread. Then place cheese and sauerkraut on beef. Top with another slice of rye bread. With a pastry brush, brush butter on both sides of bread and grill on both sides until meat is heated through and cheese melts.
Remove from heat and slice sandwich in half.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve with a cold dill pickle, and Russian Dressing.
Russian Dressing:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tsp. Worcestershire
2 tsp. prepared horseradish
pinch cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste
Mix together and place on bread before grilling or serve
on the side.
