Spanish Rice

Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup bacon drippings or butter
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cups water
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper

Preparation:
Sauté onion, green pepper, and rice in bacon drippings. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until liquid has been absorbed (approximately 20 minutes).
