Cherry Pie

Ingredients:
2 unbaked pie crusts
1 #303 can pitted cherries in water
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3 Tbs. corn starch

Preparation:
Drain cherries saving juice. Mix sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Heat juice in saucepan and gradually add sugar. Cook over medium-high heat stirring constantly until thick and clear. Remove from heat and stir in cherries. Pour cherry mixture into unbaked pie crust. Dot top with butter and cover with top crust or cut top crust into strips to form lattice on top of pie. Bake at 425˚ for 40 minutes.

This is another recipe from Home Economics class at Orange High School.
