Custard

Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
3 Tbs. corn starch
5 eggs, well beaten
3 Tbs. vanilla
8 cups half and half or heavy cream

Preparation:
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Heat cream in saucepan over medium heat just until it simmers. Add the sugar and cornstarch. Whisking constantly, add beaten eggs. Continue whisking until custard thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Chill well before serving.
