Hot Fudge Sundaes

Ingredients:
Vanilla Ice Cream
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, broken into small pieces
1/4 cup heavy cream
Whipped Cream
Chopped, roasted almonds
Maraschino cherries

Preparation:
Place scoops of vanilla ice cream in sundae dishes. Place chocolate in saucepan with cream. Heat slowly until chocolate is melted. Add more cream if necessary in order to get it to a pouring consistency. Spoon fudge over ice cream. Top with whipped cream, nuts and cherry.

Variation:
Sometimes I will use the fudge candy recipe that’s found on the side of a box of Hershy’s Cocoa to make Hot Fudge Sundaes. Prepare the recipe according to the package directions then instead of pouring the fudge into a dish to cool, spoon on ice cream.
