Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:
6 – 8 white or Yukon gold potatoes,
peeled and sliced into 1/4th inch rounds
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated (more if needed)
2 cups heavy cream
Salt and pepper

Preparation:
Place a layer of potato slices in a shallow 9 inch by 13 inch Pyrex baking dish. Lightly salt and pepper potatoes then sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over potatoes; pour cream over potato mixture and press down.  Continue layering, ending with cream. Press down to be sure potatoes are completely covered with cream. Sprinkle more cheddar cheese on top.

Bake potatoes in 350˚ oven until potatoes are tender (about 1 1/2 hours).
