1 pound cake thinly sliced
1 lb. ricotta cheese (or mascarpone)
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup espresso
3 Tbs. Kahlúa
Cocoa powder
Shaved dark chocolate curls

Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap. Place cake slices around sides and bottom. Mix together Kahlúa and espresso. Brush mixture on cake slices.
Whip together cheese, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, and vanilla. Set aside. Whip cream until soft peaks form. Add remaining powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form. Fold half of the cream mixture into the cheese mixture. Spread on bottom of loaf pan. Sift cocoa powder over top. Repeat layers ending with cake. Be sure to brush cake with Kahlúa mixture each time.
