1 ripe avocado
1 lemon
1 tablespoon fresh, chopped dill
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sugar
Preparation: Peel and dice avocado into half inch cubes and place into a small bowl. Juice lemon and pour over avocado. Add chopped dill, mayonnaise and sugar. Stir gently. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Serving Suggestion:
This sauce is great on beer battered halibut or salmon. Actually, it's good just from a spoon.
History:
No history to this sauce. I was preparing beer battered halibut for guests and wanted another sauce to serve along with tartar sauce. My taste buds said avocado and dill to start. The rest of the ingredients were added to adjust the flavor.
