Stroganoff

Ingredients:
1 lb. leftover swiss steak
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
3 15-oz. cans beef consommé
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter
1 lb. linguini, cooked al dente

Preparation:
Slice swiss steak into thin strips and put in an electric skillet. Add onion, mushrooms and broth. Simmer 45 minutes on 350˚ until meat is tender. Stir in sour cream and heat thoroughly.

Melt butter in skillet and add breadcrumbs. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Remove crumbs from heat and drain on paper towels placed on a plate to cool.

Serving Suggestion:
Ladle stroganoff over cooked noodles. Sprinkle toasted breadcrumbs over stroganoff.
