Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients:
     Pork
2 lbs. lean, uncooked pork, cut into pieces 2 inches by 3/4 inch
6 whole cloves
1 cup water
     Sauce
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ginger
      Vegetables
1/4 cup onion slices
1 green pepper, cut into small squares
1 can (15 oz.) straw mushrooms
1 can (15 oz.) baby corn
1 can (15 oz.) pineapple chunks
1 cup steamed snow peas
2 Tbs. butter

Preparation:
      Pork
Place pork, water and cloves in a pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook 25 minutes or until tender. Pour off water, if there is any left.
      Sauce
Place sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
     Vegetables and Pork
Sauté onion, pepper and peas in butter until soft. Add corn, mushrooms, pineapple and pork. Pour sauce over mixture and toss.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve warm with steamed white rice or fried rice.
