Meatballs

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground sirloin
1/4 lb. sausage
2 Tbs. onion, minced
1 cup bread cubes
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 clove garlic, minced
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Salt and pepper
4 cups tomato juice

Preparation:
Heat tomato juice in pan just until it starts to boil. Combine remaining ingredients and form meat into small balls. Drop meatballs into boiling tomato juice. Reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes.

History:
Mom used to serve these as hors d’oeuvres at parties.
